WALK/RUN RELAY DESCRIPTION
Teams of four, three, two or individual runners/walkers will depart from the south end of Gold Beach and travel south 27.6 miles, along the beautiful and scenic Southern Oregon coast, to Azalea Park in Brookings. The distance will be split into four segments, each approximately 7 miles. Several aid stations with water and support personnel will be interspersed between the exchange stations. A sweep vehicle will continually cruise the course to offer assistance to the participants. Participants should try their best to stay focused, as whale watching along this stretch can be a big distraction.
Runners/walkers will arrive at the park around 2 or 3 in the afternoon with the celebration ending around 7:00 p.m. Friends for Justin hope to make this day very special for those who have participated. In the park there will be food, drinks, music, guest speakers, face painters and lots more. We want this day to be fun for the whole family, so pack up the kids and come help us celebrate life and the memory of a very special and much loved boy named Justin.
We hope to see you there for “MOVING ON FOR JUSTIN, A WALK/ RUN RELAY AGAINST VIOLENCE”.
